Interlude II

It took time for me to reach sleep.
I was in a cell, dark and oppressing.
Yet I was surrounded by lights.
I spanned circles in solitude,
Contemplating relations and pacing my patience.
I finally fell coltish onto the provided cot,
No longer waiting for an uncoming call.
And I left consciousness with her name on the wall.
