Act V

Unfortunately, as it always seems to be,
The distance took its toll.
So in one last hurrah to stay within call,
We stayed over the oncoming Fall.

We found ourselves heading onto nature;
She led the charge, while us three followed close.
What happened passed without much regard or memory.
I thought there would be more.
I thought this was just another,
I did not know there would not be another.

In the morning, we all woke silently.
She floated down and brought us back to our realities.
She flew back home, but she never came back to me.

The place I called inn slowly became home.
The place she slept was simply that,
Until she no longer even slept there.
I do not understand her intentions, but I know them to be grand.
Though she may not have remained,
My memories have, and one truth has.

I lost her.
