Act III
Over weeks we were found at the hip,
Often just as the moon rose,
Until the bell tolled.
Our noses pressed to paper,
And I would endeavor to learn more than in front.
"How are you?"
"I have been better...
There is a kingdom close by, that has wronged me."
"How have they?"
"They've unkept their ways, and took her longingly."
"I'm sorry" though I know her reply.
Every dusk to every midnight
I thought by her side.
From every sigh to every light
I learned more of her kind.
She found me in my inn once I returned,
And I relayed the comings of my journey.
She shared her nature trip, and her meeting
With the lady in green.
I had wished I was with her then.
"Let me show you my home,"
She said in sudden order.
And so she took me to the house
That she grew in older.
We stopped in front of an early edifice,
Unmoving, and she murmuring,
"That is my home."
We left in moonlight, but I was certain that we would return.
